The AVID Site Team is focusing on coaching kids up on one Approaches to Learning Skill.  The goal for students is: “I will be able to complete my Summative Assessment on time and I will do this using backwards planning."  You could see it in action this week throughout campus.  Students in math were using an AVID planning guide to backward map with checkpoints.  Students in Language Acquisition are setting goals and reflecting on their time management.  Ask your child how they are organizing their time.

Day 106

Students enjoyed celebrating friendship on Valentine's Day.  Our International Spanish Academy students gathered students after school to buy Valentine's treats and spend the afternoon together.

Day 105
