A new sunny day tradition at Harvest is Lawn Chair Lunch on Fridays.  Teachers bring their lawn chairs and join the students in the sun for lunch.  Team...culture...family!

Garden students harvested crops and made soup using a New York Times recipe.  Food to table!

Science 7 is getting ready for their summative.  Students played collaborative review games today and coached each other up on the content.

Harvest often has visitors.  The most powerful part of our school tours are the student panels.  Students capture the heart of International Baccalaureate.  It is amazing to hear them talk about growth, challenge and positive relationships with friends and staff.

Individuals and Societies 7 was busy today creating!  Students researched an issue and designed a solution.  Today they were creating models of the solution.  Hands on, hearts on, minds on.

Its round 2 for car design challenge.  Students designed, created, and decorated their cars.  We are getting closer to race day.

Harvest students in Mariposa brought education about smoking to our school today.  During lunch students participated in Kick Butts Day to bring awareness about the risks associated with smoking.  The quad was full of music, a photo booth, and education.

Harvest goes big when celebrating Pi Day!  Each grade level had finalist at the assembly.  These student finalists recorded the amount of numbers in the pi sequence that they can remember.  Amazing Pi Day Assembly with pie eating, hula hoop contest, and more!

Language and Literature 6 students played spoons to review vocabulary, parts of speech, antonyms, and synonyms today.

As an International Baccalaureate World School, students know that we care about achievement and growth.  These students are receiving support so that they complete their summative and show their knowledge and application of learning.  All means all at Harvest Middle School.  Way to go #ibhawks!

Day 121

Harvest students have many opportunities to engage in activities after school through Napa County Office of Education ACE Program.  Currently, it is futsol season and our kids are moving in the gym.  They are working on their technique and getting ready to compete!

Students in Math 6 used AVID strategies to backward map their learning so that they turn their summative assessment in on time and complete.  We are working on our Approaches to Learning Self-Management skills!

Sandy Hook Promise came to Harvest today to award our Leadership class and school with the Sandy Hook Promise Say Something Award.  Before the all school assembly, our Leadership class had the opportunity to hear from a Sandy Hook parent and ask questions.  We have incredible leaders at Harvest Middle School and we are so proud of them.

Day 118

Our 8th graders are getting #highschoolready.  Napa High School students and counselors talked to our 8th graders today about high school classes and the registration process.

Learning Walks Round 2!  Today we saw students participating Philosophical Chairs.  Students debated using academic language in Individuals and Societies.

On Learning Walks today, we saw students coaching up other students in Language Arts 3D.  Way to go #ibhawks!  Leaders and learners at Harvest Middle School.

6th grade students in Language Acquisition presented information about Puerto Rico.
